In the books Rathma was a super good guy who sacrificed a lot to save humanity. Lilith and Inarius created the first nephalem ever and his name was Linarian, who later became Rathma. The white guy in the announcement trailer for Diablo IV, I do not know if he is an ancient nephalem or a demon after summoning Lilith he calls her “mother.”
