If you actually need to be productive, don't bother with this app. If you want a toy SSH and FTP client that will be used to move one or two. I think the only hope for this app is to be rewritten from scratch. The problems are many, random, impossible to reproduce, and therefore impossible to report. And the crashes, for reasons unknown to me, don't show the macOS crash report dialog that you normally see. The worst part is, the "unknown error" alerts happen entirely randomly, there is no way to reproduce the bug, so it's impossible to report it to the dev. Create a new vault in on your preferred storage. Create a new connection to any service provider supporting one of the many available protocols including S3, Dropbox, OneDrive & Google Drive or any WebDAV and SFTP compatible storage. It's incredibly frustrating and rather than aiding me at doing my job, it makes it even more frustrating. Download and install Mountain Duck for macOS or Windows. There's really no reason to use anything else. It's compatible with every major cloud vendor and all FTP standards. It does what it does well, but doesn't do anything else. Finally, moving around in my online storage spaces is slow, typically taking 3-5 seconds when going from directory to directory. It would be nice to have it all in one interface. Also, like other FTP programs, uploads or downloads pop up a small status window that could get lost behind other windows easily. Best of all, it's very inexpensive for a reliable and well-supported piece of software.Ĭons: The interface is plain - fine when compared to most FTP programs, but novice users might be more comfortable with a more graphical UI. The developers update the app frequently. The interface is clear and it has been easy to connect with secure, cloud-based storage services.
I use it to archive large media files in the cloud. Pros: Cyberduck has become my go-to app for transferring large files.
